You're right the blue is very me, i go look at my gallery and it seems to be the dominant colour throughout - which must mean something??
I found bits of this quite hard to paint as i don't really like the colour red, but thought that it would suit that chair best - gold frame, red chair, very regal!
So thanks for liking the chair!:D
Thanks my friend! it was a bit of an experiment really, fancied trying to stretch myself by doing something a bit more creative than one of my 'women in front of wallpaper';-)
Aah, thanks for loving my pictures - its definately appreciated!!
great painting Emma! it's a wonderful piece with stunning craftsmanship, and your interpretation of Alice is unique!

well done!

Don't ever be afraid to try something new on your own. After all an amateur built the Ark and a group of professionals built the Titanic...
wow thanks for all that scottie, such high praise!
i always meant to do an Alice, and it was supposed to be an experiment in being more creative and adventurous in my subjects, and fun too
but then it turned out quite symbolic, not to go too much into it, but now i see her like in the eye of the storm - calm in a crisis, like me:-)
i liked doing a 'brave' Alice too
