I found bits of this quite hard to paint as i don't really like the colour red, but thought that it would suit that chair best - gold frame, red chair, very regal!

Don't ever be afraid to try something new on your own. After all an amateur built the Ark and a group of professionals built the Titanic...
i always meant to do an Alice, and it was supposed to be an experiment in being more creative and adventurous in my subjects, and fun too
but then it turned out quite symbolic, not to go too much into it, but now i see her like in the eye of the storm - calm in a crisis, like me
i liked doing a 'brave' Alice too
